January 27 - Firefighters conducted a walkthrough of Palmyra schools in order to familiarize themselves with the building layouts.
 
January 28 - At 11:01 a.m., 911 dispatched firefighters to a report of a logging skidder on fire off County Road 241 west of Palmyra.  Despite the remote location of the fire, firefighters were able to reach the scene and extinguish the blaze.  Firefighters returned to the station at 12:42 p.m.
