December 13 - At 12:36 p.m., 911 dispatched firefighters to a report of a semi that jackknifed at the US 61/24 junction in Taylor. Firefighters inspected the vehicle for hazards and returned to the station at 1:21 p.m.
December 13 - At 4:48 p.m., 911 dispatched firefighters to a report of a dump truck rollover accident with unknown injuries on US-24 near the US-61 junction in Taylor. Firefighters inspected the vehicle for hazards and remained on scene assisting with traffic control until the truck could be removed safely. Firefighters returned to the station at 7:19 p.m.
December 16 - At 6:56 p.m., 911 dispatched firefighters to a report of a possible structure fire at the old Mississippi Grill in West Quincy. There was no fire; firefighters returned to the station at 7:33 p.m.
December 16 - At 10:40 p.m., 911 dispatched firefighters to a request for mutual aid assistance from the Hannibal Rural Fire Department at a structure fire on County Road 418. Firefighters assisted in establishing a water shuttle and returned to the station at 11:51 p.m.
December 17 - At 8:49 a.m., 911 dispatched firefighters to a report of a single vehicle rollover accident on County Road 402 east of Palmyra. Firefighters inspected the vehicle for hazards and returned to the station at 9:29 a.m.
December 17 - At 11:18 p.m., 911 dispatched firefighters to a report of a vehicle fire on US-24 south of Palmyra. Firefighters extinguished the fire and returned to the station at 12:17 a.m.
News Around the Fire Station
Santa will be making his last trip on the fire truck this Saturday at 1 pm at the fire station. Kids from 1-99 are invited to visit with Santa to get in those last minute requests before he returns to the North Pole for his annual trip around the world.
