The Palmyra Fire Department Fire Line

 

July 19 - At 11:28 a.m., 911 dispatched firefighters to a report of smoke at the 18 Wheeler in Taylor. Using a thermal imaging camera, firefighters thoroughly inspected the building to ensure there was no fire. Firefighters returned to the station at 12:45 p.m.

 

July 20 - At 12:23 a.m., 911 dispatched firefighters to a report of a tree limb down on a power line in the 400 block of West New. Firefighters remained on scene until released by personnel from the Board of Public Works and returned to the station at 12:49 a.m.

 

July 20 - At 7:17 a.m., 911 dispatched firefighters to a report of three vehicles trapped in flood waters on US-36 at Highway H west of the Rocket. Firefighters ensured that the drivers were safe and returned to the station at 8:00 a.m.

 

July 20 - At 8:28 a.m., 911 dispatched firefighters to a request for mutual aid assistance from the Hannibal Fire Department. Flood waters from Bear Creek had trapped many residents in their homes; firefighters assisted placing boats in the water at Warren Barrett and Lindel and manned Hannibal Fire's Station One until relieved at 10:30 a.m.

 

July 22 - At 11:38 a.m., 911 dispatched first responders to a report of a sick person at a residence on County Road 252. First responders assisted ambulance personnel and returned to the station at 12:12 p.m.

 

July 22 - At 12:32, 911 dispatched firefighters to a request for mutual aid assistance from the New London Fire Department at the scene of a propane truck accident east of New London. Firefighters stood by while the propane tank was emptied and assisted in general clean up at the accident, returning to the station at 4:31 p.m.
